SNOW PLOW DAMAGE, FEB 2010
SEVERN-GLENBURNIE AREA,
MARYLAND

My Fence bowed down under weight of snow pile

This is interesting sharp angle the plow hit the curb as also evidenced in another
picture showing damage on opposite side of street by it's rear wheels.

This actually is part of a private curb placed by the owners after previous
loss of front curb area that went unrepaired. They placed a line of concrete blocks
and I guess used concrete or mortar mix.

Back wheel from snow plow. The opposite side of street
has a steep angle of plow damage on that curb.

They really had fun plowing up this section of curb,
most which is buried under the pile I guess.

Another large area of damage

Same area as above photo, closer look.

Third look at this damage.

This I believe is damaged area from a previous year, but not sure.

Only the snowplow driver knows from where this chunk of curb came
near this pile of snow that still covers the area.

Bent fence from huge snow pile placed in this area. It's my fence,
so I know it was OK before this snow was dumped on it. What did
they do? Pack it down?!

Hey, at least the postal driver can get closer now. My next door neighbor's.

My next door neighbor also got this new parking spot opened up, lol. It's wide enough
for a second driveway if they want one.

I'm betting this chunk will just get picked up and tossed away and the drive
opening be a bit wider into this property.

This is the top of a drain that was knocked completely back into the yard.
On March 3, the county came by and put it back, as evidenced by the dirt
on top of the snow pile. Before that were traffic barrels and yellow tape to keep
people from driving or parking into the hole. This got quick repair because it
was dangerous. Hopefully our curbs will get repair sometime this year.

These pictures cover about 2 blocks of the road.  I've not included the upper
part of older road where there are no curbs. Those people have
some new seeding with leveling or sloping to do since the front of their yards were
scraped down to road level.
